Is a Switch version of Biomutant in the cards or was this listing merely an accident?
The upcoming action-adventure game Biomutant still doesn’t have a release date other than “2019” but when it does arrive, it’s slated to come to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. According to a new retail listing though, a Switch version of the title could also now be in the pipeline.
As seen on the EB Games Canada website, a Switch version of Biomutant has now appeared. Much like its counterparts on other platforms, the game is slated to retail $59.99. The only major change we can see from this description though is that it is slated to launch on March 30, 2020. While this date is likely just a placeholder, it is interesting that it is marked as 2020 rather than 2019, the year in which we’re expecting Biomutant. Perhaps this indicates that if a Switch version will be coming, it’ll release further down the line after other platforms.
Of course, take a potential leak like this with a grain of salt because none of this has been confirmed just yet by Biomutant’s publisher THQ Nordic. Still, it’s worth noting that past leaks of this kind from retail websites have proven to be somewhat trustworthy–just look at Walmart Canada’s huge leak prior to E3 last year. Regardless, with E3 2019 rapidly approaching next month, there’s a good chance we’ll find out one way or another on whether or not Biomutant could actually be coming to Nintendo’s platform.
